It's rare that I get the chance to visit a new restaurant in Amsterdam twice before reviewing it. It's even rarer that I like it better the second time round.

I’m often asked where you can get pho (Vietnamese rice noodle soup) in Amsterdam. Until recently, the only Vietnamese restaurant I knew was Welcome on Zeedijk. Then Xinh opened on Elandsgracht.

Welcome Vietnamese Restaurant on Zeedijk, the main Asian street on the edge of the Red Light District, is one of few purveyors of Vietnamese food in Amsterdam.
