Books for Cooks
Books for Cooks is a stall dedicated to cook books, mostly in Dutch and English. The majority of books are secondhand or antique, but prices are reasonable.
Located in the covered alley that runs down one side of the University of Amsterdam, Books for Cooks is a great place to go for regional recipe books, gastronomic history books and even glossy culinary magazines from the 1960s.
The stallholder, Els van den Akker, is happy to help customers find what they are looking for among the piles of books heaped on the tables.
