Cafe de Jaren is a huge bar, cafe and restaurant. Service is notoriously slow, but its location near Kalverstraat shopping street means it pulls in locals, shoppers and tourists alike.

Cafe Katoen serves breakfast and lunch, and in the evening snacks and (alcoholic) drinks. Prices aren’t super cheap, but the relaxed vibe makes it popular with students and young professionals.
