Billed as 'the shop for cooking fanatics', Studio Bazar was founded 40 years ago by Dutch chef Julius Jaspers and his sister Rooslinde. The cookery shop's two branches are both in central Amsterdam.

Studio Bazar sells everything from crockery to cake tins, oven dishes, espresso makers and novelty paper napkins. Both shops are small and can get crowded, particularly at weekends. If you're a claustrophic chef, go during the week.
